An experiment in a Victorian laboratory goes horribly wrong and now Davy Baillie and Joe Flynn have lost track of time... or rather, time has lost track of them.
They are adrift, in a post apocalyptic Scottish future that keeps getting ever farther away from where they're trying to get to. The scientist, Wilkins, the cause of their woes, might be able to help, but he is held hostage by a mad goblin in an impossible place, with puzzles to solve and no time in which to do it.
Is the fate of space and time in the balance? Do the goblin's ramblings have a hint of sense?
Baillie and Flynn's futures depends on answers to these questions.
A new addition to the William Meikle Sigils & Totems mythos, taking a look under the bonnet at where the strange places in the mythos might originate.
I always think I'm at my best when I stop overthinking and let things flow. A lot of that comes from my love for performing in front of an audience. I learned at a youngish age that I could think on my feet in front of large groups of people, and actually captivate them, mainly getting them to laugh, and usually when I didn't really know where the stuff that was coming out of my mouth was coming from
This book came like that, all in a rush over a short period, with a wee manic Goblin chuckling his doggerel in my head all the while. I had an awful lot of fun with this one, and I think it shows.
