In these pages you'll find some glowing fog, some mad scientists, some tentacled things, booze, dreaming gods, cigarettes, some boats of various sizes, a bar or two, some stiff upper lips, a ghosthunter, a great detective and a multitude of universes, among other things.
Home from the Sea contains 14 tales of Lovecraftian Terror, and is now also available in paperback, hardcover and audiobook.
I put this wee collection together a few years back when Nick Mamatas was looking for material for a Lovecraftian book bundle promotion. It sold over a thousand copies in that one promotion, and since then continues to sell several dozen copies a month for me on Kindle and sometimes more. Not bad at all for a bunch of reprints from various anthologies and magazines.
These stories date over a period of years from the last decade or so, back to 2008 for the oldest of them. I've included three pastiches, one each of Carnacki, Sherlock Holmes and Professor Challenger. There's also several stories that could easily be Professor Quatermass stories, were I allowed to use that name. But in the main the work in here is of my own invention, and contains in some places a spark of what would later come to be my Sigis and Totems mythos idea.
If you're looking for something that covers a whole lot of my Lovecraftian style enthusiasms, here it is. This is who I am.
